The line and the colour
Two versions of the same drawing: the line that is already finished on its own, and the layer of watercolour that came later.
I almost always work in two steps. First the line, in ink, on the spot. And then sometimes, not always, watercolour at home afterwards.
That second part takes an hour. Sometimes longer. It is a different thing entirely from the ten minutes the daily prompt is about — the line drawing is finished, on its own, without a single drop of paint.
Neither version is the better one. On the left is the drawing. On the right is that same drawing with a layer over it.
Materials — Ink for the line; watercolour for the layer over it.
