Privacy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
I keep this as calm as the rest of the site: as little data as possible, and honest about what happens. Below is exactly what I collect and why.
Who is responsible
The Relaxed Sketcher is a brand of [Meijer Projectontwikkeling B.V., CoC 90309480]. Questions about your data? Email privacy@therelaxedsketcher.com.
What data and what for
- The Daily Line by email: your email address and language, to send you the prompt each day. You sign up yourself and can unsubscribe anytime.
- “Done” on the home page: if you click it, we keep only the city and country the network attaches to your visit, along with the date. No IP address, no account, no cookie, nothing that points back to you. We use it solely to show which places drew that day, and we show names — never counts. Only your own browser remembers that you clicked.
- The 30-day Reset: your email address and your progress (which days you tick off), to run your participation and the private sharing wall. Signing up via the email link counts as confirmed consent (double opt-in), with a timestamp.
- The Club waitlist: your email address and the tier you're interested in, so I can let you know when it opens.
- Community uploads: if you share a sketch, we store the image and any caption. We strip metadata (such as location) from your file. Publication only happens after your explicit consent and moderation.
- Account: if you sign in, we keep a profile with your display name and membership. Signing in uses an email link, no password.
- Payments: if you pay, it goes through Stripe; we store no payment details, only whether you paid.
- Visitor statistics: if you consent, Google Analytics records which pages are visited. Your IP address is truncated. Decline and nothing happens — your choice is remembered in your own browser, not by us.
We record consent
For things that need consent (mailing, sharing a sketch, waiving the right of withdrawal on immediate delivery) we keep what exactly you agreed to and when. That makes it demonstrable and reversible.
How long we keep data
We don't keep data longer than needed. Your email address for The Daily Line is kept until you unsubscribe. Your account and its data (sketches, journal, progress) are kept while your account exists; delete your account and we erase everything immediately. Consent logs are kept up to 24 months after the relationship ends, as proof of the consent given. Invoice and payment data subject to statutory retention are kept for seven years (at our payment provider Stripe).
Processors
- Supabase — database, accounts and image storage (EU region).
- Vercel — website hosting (EU edge).
- Stripe — payments (the 30-day Reset and later the Atelier).
- Resend — sending the daily and transactional email.
- Google Analytics — visitor statistics, only if you consent. Without consent the script is not loaded and no cookie is set.
- [To add once live: Make.com for automations, OpenAI for draft feedback to Estella.]
Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent. You can delete it yourself via your account (“Delete my account”) or on request via privacy@therelaxedsketcher.com.
